Chelsea Art Gallery Walking Tour
On this guided tour of Chelsea’s
vast collection of art galleries,
we will visit 8 modern galleries
in the world’s center for
contemporary art! Our tour guide
previews over 150 exhibits each
month and selects the 8 most fascinating
and provocative ones for us to explore.
You'll see the very newest in painting,
sculpture, electronic media and
photography. At each stop on the
walking tour, our guide explains
the artwork and leads the group
in lively discussion. And there
will be plenty of time in and out
of the galleries to socialize with
the other intelligent, adventurous
participants. Dress appropriately
for the day's weather, and wear
comfortable shoes for walking (about
8 blocks total). The tour will take
place rain, snow or shine, as we
will be indoors 90% of the time.
Come on out and see what’s
cookin' in Chelsea!
Location: 526 W. 26th Street, New
York, NY
The group will assemble in the lobby
of 526 W. 26th St. (10th & 11th
Ave.), and the tour will end a few
blocks south
Join us after the tour for an afternoon
cocktail or hot chocolate at a trendy
chelsea bar.
