Ashes & Snow
Hudson River Park's Pier 54 will
be transformed into a Nomadic Museum
housing Ashes and Snow, with more
than 200 large-scale photographs
and a 35mm film by artist Gregory
Colbert. The artworks capture extraordinary
moments of contact between people
and animals that Colbert experienced
during 31 international expeditions
to destinations including Egypt,
Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and Antarctica.
The museum structure is the first
of its kind in the world, composed
of recyclable and reusable materials.
Tickets are available at NYC's Official
Visitor Information Center.

In this special live-animal presentation
with wildlife expert Andrew Simmons,
the audience will be introduced
to the world of the predator and
get a close-up look at a golden
eagle, an alligator, a python, and
a cougar cub. They will find out
how these animals find food, whether
they have to hunt for meals or resort
to stealing food from other animals
using their sharp claws, teeth,
or talons.
